The Restoration:
White and black are the two most difficult colors to match.
These cranes were extensively broken and fragmented. The tiny fragments are essentially useless
during restoration and are interpreted as loss that must be filled.
Each broken joint was ground and pins were inserted to make a structural repair. Finally, the repaired areas were airbrushed
and reglazed to match the original high gloss surface.
The results were extraordinary!
